Hamilton is loaded with culinary destinations for Mother’s Day tea or brunch, like the Ancaster Mill, Royal Botanical Gardens and Barangas on the Beach. Find something she’ll enjoy and book it fast because a lot of Hamilton moms will be celebrated in 2018!

Take mom on a road trip down to Lake Erie. Get her into ten different wineries and five breweries with a Sip into Spring Passport at Norfolk Counties annual wine festival!  For $25 savour Ontario’s south coast wine country. Local ciders, craft beers and wines meet beautiful bike trails and long southernly facing beaches. Bring mom to the shoreline and sip at venues such as Inasphere and Burning Kiln. Make stops along the way at Blueberry Hill and Villa Nova Estate wineries or Bonnieheath Estate Lavender & Winery!  Take your mom on a weekend cruise out of the City of Hamilton this Mother’s Day! If your mom is into country music why not get tickets to Carmen’s Dinner Theatre presentation of the Kings of Country May 8 leading up to Mother’s Day. Celebrate with some great food and sounds of some of country’s grandest legends—Merle Haggard, George Jones, Conway Twitty and Hank Williams!

Visit Puddicombe Estate Winery’s Alice vs. The Queen of Hearts Tea Party May 12. Hop aboard the train with Alice and her wonderful friends and enjoy gourmet sandwiches, roasted treats and all sorts of seasonal beverages for all ages. This traditional trip down the rabbit hole begins at 1468 Highway 8 in Winona.

Another splendid location for celebrating Mother’s Day is Westfield Heritage Village.  Tour this historic village and interact with time period, costumed staff at the park. Grab a unique gift for mom after you tour this 500 acre Hamilton Conservation Authority site.

If mom loves baiting the line, sign her up for the 21st annual Port Dover Perch Derby.  This two week long fishing bonanza feature over $23,000 in tagged fish!
