Neighbourhoods in Hamilton Made for Families

Whether you’re looking for older character homes or modern property for your family, the Hamilton market is loaded with options. There are so many neighbourhoods to love; here are three that we think are ideal for young families.

Delta West

Delta West, right in the heart of downtown, is one of Hamilton’s oldest neighbourhoods. Highlighted by the beautiful Gage Park, Delta West boats so many historic homes. Home to the Hamilton Children’s Museum, Hamilton Toy Museum and Rosedale Tennis Club, this neighbourhood is brimming with culture! St. Peter’s Hospital Hamilton Health Sciences is also within this community. Picturesque sight lines can be seen up and down Lawrence Road at the foot of the mountain.

Red Hill

Not only is this community a commuter’s paradise courtesy of the convenient Red Hill Parkway, it’s also a great neighbourhood for young families. The Boys and Girls Clubs of Hamilton, Glendale Curling Club, CCE Red Hill Learning Centre and three schools make enrichment and development easily accessible. Stacked with amenities, Red Hill has everything from franchise eateries and big box retailers to mom-and-pop outfits that can round out your most exclusive finds.

Hannon South

Ah, sweet suburbia: this relatively modern enclave of homes is on the rise in popularity. On the fringes of the big city this quiet urban centre has plenty of amenities young family’s need.
